Golf Tee Times in Dallas, Texas

Southerness Golf Club - Return To Course Page

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 01

Par: 4 / Yards: 356

A good starting hole. This par 4 is of medium length and should start your round out with a good score. Most of the trouble off the tee is to the right, a drive down the left center of the fairway will give you the most room for error and the best angle in.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 02

Par: 5 / Yards: 484

This short par 5 is not as easy as you may initially think. A very precise drive is needed, too far right is a line of trees and thick rough. Too far left is far worse. Your lay-up shot can not go too far to the right or you will be blocked out by a tree. All the way down the left is a creek that balls seem to gravitate towards.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 03

Par: 3 / Yards: 142

Take one less club on this straight downhill shot but hit it hard enough to clear the creek. This green slopes right to left (especially on the right side) so be aware of how your ball rolls after hitting (and your partners' putts.) This is a very wide green so be precise with the short iron on your tee shot.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 04

Par: 4 / Yards: 343

A deceptively tough hole, with an accurate tee shot needed - with water on both the left and right; and a two tiered green. A drive down the left side will give you the best angle in and the best chance of clearing the trouble lurking off the tee.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 05

Par: 5 / Yards: 552

A quirky hole which can lead to some big numbers. A small pond on the right edge of the fairway pretty much takes driver out of the hands of all but the bravest. Regardless of what you hit, it has to be straight. Very little margin for error on every shot on this hole. Your second shot should find the right edge of the fairway to give you a clear shot to this green. Finally, watch the tricky slopes on the left edge of this green if that is where the hole is cut.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 06

Par: 4 / Yards: 409

A long par 4 with hazards on both the left and right. The grass bunker on the front left of the green is death, so avoid it all all costs. An ideal drive will be long and in the right center of the fairway.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 07

Par: 3 / Yards: 170

A medium length par 3 that leaves very little room for error. Any shot that misses the green will fall away, particularly on the left side where you can find yourself totally blocked out from the green. Play to the middle of the green and then putt at the pin.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 08

Par: 4 / Yards: 306

A long iron is all you need on this hole to find the ideal approach spot. The farther left you go, the more you flirt with the trees. All the way down the right side is big trouble. The green is elevated with a large grass bunker guarding the front. There is a big ridge that runs down the middle of the green with the slope running away from it on both sides.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 09

Par: 4 / Yards: 418

One of the tougher par 4s around. A long drive down the right center is best. Do not go left off the tee, you'll be lucky to find your ball. If your drive is on the very right of the fairway or anywhere off to the right, you're angle to the green is cut off by a large tree.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 10

Par: 4 / Yards: 354

A short, straightforward par 4. Trees line the right side of this hole but a long drive too far left can fall off the fairway down a large hill. Any shot on the fairway should leave a short iron in to the green. There is a bunker guarding the front left of the green.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 11

Par: 5 / Yards: 490

A drive down the left center will cut off a little yardage on this hole. Any shot on the fairway should leave you two easy shots into the green. For those who crush a drive, the green is reachable in two but tough to hit due to it's elevated state and the bunker guarding the front. Probably the smallest green on the course.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 12

Par: 4 / Yards: 375

The hole plays longer than the yardage due to it's uphill nature. Your drive needs to find the left side of the fairway to avoid a large tree that blocks off the right side. The green slopes back to front so be careful of hitting long.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 13

Par: 4 / Yards: 379

This fairway is even wider than it looks so not a bad time to swing from the heels and let loose. Still, there is trouble down the left so a drive to the middle or right side is best. That will also leave you a good angle in to this wide green that slopes back to front and is guarded by a bunker on the left.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 14

Par: 3 / Yards: 171

This green has a huge slope on the right side that throws everything left and fast. It also slopes back to front and a downhill putt on this hole is extremely dangerous. So are the bunkers and the drop off to the left of the green if you pull your tee shot.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 15

Par: 4 / Yards: 384

A straight forward par 4 that requires a well struck drive and precise iron shot that will clear the bunker that guards the front of the green. The green slopes right to left so be accurate with your approach and leave yourself a nice uphill birdie putt.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 16

Par: 3 / Yards: 168

A fun, scenic, and very scary par 3. The shot not only is totally over water, but the green slopes back towards the water for a shot that might just clear the edge. There is even a small water hazard to the left of the green. to the right are some large swales that are also the drop area.

Southerness Golf Club - Return To Course Page

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 17

Par: 4 / Yards: 375

A drive that flirts with the water will leave you the best shot in. Any drive hit to the right is wet. A straight ball that flies over water most of the way will end up in the middle of the fairway, beyond the tree, and with a short iron in. A long drive to the left side of the fairway will end up in the bunker. Anything else will leave you with a difficult long iron in to this well guarded and thin green.

Stockbridge, GA

Hole #: 18

Par: 5 / Yards: 470

If you hit a long draw, this hole might have your match winning birdie (or eagle!) written all over it. Otherwise, a drive that finds the right side of the fairway will end up in nice shape for your lay-up. The green is elevated with a bunker in front. Do not miss any shot on this hole to the right.
